If you haven’t heard yet, slowly, but surely, I have been converting my books into audiobook format. The last time I had shared any news on this via my blog, only two books had been completed: Unfortunate Events: 31 Short Stories and Growing Up Neighbors.

I’m super excited to share with you that ALL of my books are now converted into audiobook format! That’s right! This includes Next Door Neighbors, Long Lost Neighbors, and my non-fiction, inspirational book called What to Expect When You’re Not Expecting: Navigating Infertility!

Let me share with you a little information on them all. If you’re at all interested in any of them, please click on the picture and it will bring you directly to the sales page on Audible where you can see length, price, ratings (if any), and, of course, what the book is all about!

Without further ado, here are my five books:

Growing Up Neighbors

This audiobook was produced by Kate Rhodes. Her youthful voice and dynamic character differences makes this an enjoyable listen for anyone who loves a young adult love story.

Next Door Neighbors

Again, this was produced by Kate Rhodes. She did a great job getting into character, which will help you feel all the feels, especially toward the end!

Long Lost Neighbors

My last book (for now) produced by Kate Rhodes. It was amazing how she could bring the young characters to their older selves. She made this romance shine brighter!

What to Expect When You’re NOT Expecting: Navigating Infertility

This audiobook was produced by Elisabeth Stuart. Having gotten to know her well, it was uncanny how much the two of us have in common. That aside, she did an amazing job taking a serious and difficult subject and present it in a way that will touch your core and inspire you!

Unfortunate Events: 31 Short Stories

Gary Noon produced this audiobook, and what he did with each story was phenomenal! His voice has a slight scary edge to it, yet it’s not overkill. He was clear in his vocals, and will make this audiobook an enjoyable listen!

That’s all for now! I appreciate you taking the time to read this post. I hope you found something here that you’d love to give a try. Please also feel free to spread the word! Even if you aren’t a fan of audiobooks, someone you know might be! Thanks for helping an author out!

This year I have the privilege of participating in an event called ThankfulAuthor. This event is taking place on Angela Hayes’ blog, and what it is, is two authors a day for the month of November share what they’re thankful for. This is now the third year that ThankfulAuthor is taking place, and having been well-received in the past, I’m glad many will get to see my response this year, as I believe it’s an important one.

I titled it “I’m Thankful for What?!!?” because what I share may not be popular, but I think it needs to be said. Here is part of my post:

When I signed up for #ThankfulAuthor, the gears in my mind started turning, trying to figure out what I’d want to say. There are simply too many things to be thankful for! To narrow it down to just one was hard. And I didn’t really want to say the same thing that everyone else does. Often you hear people quickly throw out there that they’re thankful for God, their faith, or perhaps their family and friends, or you might even hear one or two say they’re thankful for their jobs. Those aren’t bad things to be thankful for, and I’m beyond thankful for those very things myself. But I wanted to share something less common.

One thought that hit me was that I could share that I’m thankful for where I live. I’m a resident of the great state of Michigan! What’s unique about my exact location is that unemployment is low, the community is pretty safe, and the weather is outstanding. I mean, we rarely see tornadoes, feel only slight tremors from earthquakes, if even that, and wild fires and hurricanes are not something we even have to worry about. The beauty of spring, summer, fall, and winter are fully experienced, making me scratch my head as to why anyone would ever want to leave!

But as grateful as I am for my home here in Michigan, there is something else that I’m thankful for that deserves to be shared with you all. It might leave a lot of you puzzled, but try to bear with me here. What I’m thankful for is my…suffering. The word suffering here could also be replaced with hardships or struggles, if you want. Now why on earth would anyone be thankful for that? Let me explain.

Perhaps the best example…..

I have been feeling so generous lately, and thought it would be a fantabulous idea to let you all in on a little secret regarding a freebie. Well, I guess it won’t be a secret any longer! (And I really didn’t want it to be a secret anyway. I want the whole world to know!)

Today, Friday, April 21, 2017, until Monday, April 24, 2017, my second novel, Next Door Neighbors, will be FREE! (The eBook version only). Yes, I know that I just had my debut novel, Growing Up Neighbors, for free not too long ago, but since that book is a different genre, I thought it would be a good idea to also try Next Door Neighbors for free.

Next Door Neighbors is my first contemporary romance. Don’t let that scare you away, though! It’s completely clean so you don’t have to worry about reading things that will make you blush or feel ashamed about. You can also feel perfectly good about sharing, which I hope you will!

One great thing about Next Door Neighbors is that it also has an underlying message of what true love is all about. It’s not something you just feel and say to one another. It’s actually something you DO! Throughout this novel, you’ll see some strong attraction, yes, but you’ll see some ways the main characters show true love.

Sweet, right? I thought so! And this is all for FREE!

I’d be so honored if you’d take a chance on me and read it! I’d be even more honored if you’d share this great news!

Oh, and one more thing. Though this is the second book in my Neighbors series, it is a completely standalone novel. You do not need to read the first book, Growing Up Neighbors, or last book, Long Lost Neighbors, (though, I hope you do!) in order to enjoy Next Door Neighbors!

Here is the book’s blurb, as well as a link on where to get your free download:

Elena Montgomery, an elderly victim of fibromyalgia, has two main loves in her life: Brian, her attractive and hard-working son; and Jill Stevens, her caring friend and next door neighbor. When Brian and Jill meet for the first time, they have a chemistry that no one can deny.

Although Jill finds herself wanting to get closer to Brian, she believes she can’t. Being hurt in the past, she vows to remain single the rest of her life, thinking it’s better not to love than to love and get burned. Brian, on the other hand, wants to get to the bottom of her fears and show her that not all men are the same. He is determined to win her trust, her heart and her hand in marriage.

Through pain, passion and pursuit, will Brian be able to prove to Jill what true love is all about?

Welcome to March, everyone! If you’re like me, you’re wondering how in the world can it be March already!?!!? I can’t believe we are in the third month of 2016, and it seems with every new year that goes by, the faster time goes.

I’m not sure what your weather was like today, but it was snowing bad here in Michigan. Like they say, in like a lion, out like a lamb. So if this saying holds true, I can’t wait for the beautiful weather that’s just up ahead. Continue reading “March”
